Eagle Bahn Gondola is the only way up to the top of the mountain this summer. Once at the top you can be entertained with lawn games such as disc golf, volleyball, horseshoes and the Discovery Center. As the host of two prior Mountain Bike World Championships, it is no wonder Vail offers regular mountain biking trails as well as downhill biking; a true thrill with color coded trails for novice to advanced.

For the experience of a lifetime, Charter Sports at the Vail Marriott offers a Biking Tour down Vail Pass. Vail Mountain has previously hosted two Mountain Bike World Championships and has trails that tailor from the novice biker to the experienced downhiller. The gondola can whisk you to the top for a scenic ride down, or opt for an uphill climb to technical downhill terrain if you’re looking for more of a challenge. Horseback Riding
Saddle up and savor the scenic beauty of the Rocky Mountains by horseback. There are plenty of trail rides through aspen groves, mountain streams and around Vail Mountain.
Nature Center and Alpine Gardens
At 8,200 feet, these are the highest public botanical gardens in North America. The alpine display, perennial garden, and mountain meditation garden together represent about 2,000 varieties of plants, demonstrating the wide range of choices to be grown at high altitudes. The gardens attract a variety of birds, and there is also a rock garden with a stunning 120-foot waterfall. Allow 1 to 3 hours.
Rock Climbing
One of Vail's most popular outdoor activities. Also provided are several experts and guides with extensive knowledge of the local climbing areas. With indoor and outdoor climbing areas create an experience that you or your family will not forget.
